The grace of Christ be with you!
Thanks
for discovering the Westfield website! | | |

In 1803, two Presbyterian farmers in western Pennsylvania gave
some land from their west field for a new church. After
some time our church took on the name: Westfield Presbyterian
Church.
Now, after 207 years of worship, education, fellowship, and
mission, Westfield continues to provide support and love to one
another, the community, and throughout the world. Here are just
a few program notes for you.
|
Youth ministry at Westfield is
called YO! and meets on Sunday
nights from 6-8 p.m. Summer YO!
meets on Wednesday nights from
7-9 in the homes of members and
friends. Additional
events include coffeehouses,
mission trips, mission outreach,
joint events with other area
churches, retreats, and Bible
studies.

Our music
director, Sarah
Phillips,
delights
everyone with
joy and
enthusiasm
through music
and choral
presentation.
Come and listen
to her wonderful
preludes and
enjoyable hymn
accompaniments.
Our choir has
recently grown
in numbers and
sound. The
wonderful
Faithful Bells,
directed by
Marcy
McClymonds, ring
with praise to
God as they
inspire us with
sounds of
ringing hand
bells.

For children and
families, we
plan F3 (Faith,
Fun, Family)
events for just
about every
month of the
year. Recent
events had
families launch
pumpkins into a
local farm,
dress up as
shepherds,
angels, and Magi
for a Live
Nativity,
practice for a
Christmas
program while
parents attended
a Parent
Seminar, play at
Olympic Fun
Center in
Hermitage, and
watch the Disney
Pixar animated
film "Up" while
eating hot fudge
sundaes and
popcorn. During
the summer,
Westfield goes
all out for
Vacation Bible
School.
Often after
worship, we have
a light brunch,
a lunch to
encourage
fellowship, or a
pot-luck for
whoever wants to
stay for lunch.
Our "Coffee and
Conversation" in
the church parlor,
both before and
after worship,
encourages
fellowship.
We have Sunday
school for all
ages, including
six adult
classes, and
several
Fellowship
Groups that meet
in homes for
Bible Study and
good fellowship. | |

Westfield has
been a
mission-minded
church for a
long time.
Church members
participate in
relief efforts
and building
projects in
western
Pennsylvania. | |
